This one originally had a grizzly and depressing ending but I changed it halfway through because I got attached to the cat and also I had a good day.

It’s possible and it happened to Thompson the Bionic Cat who took an accidental leap as a kitten off a sixth floor balcony and is now 8 and amazing and strong and healthy.
Now I just kinda wished I’d have filmed it. But, sadly I wasn’t there.

Although creative, this perpetuates a harmful myth that suicide attempts are for seeking attention. I hope you’ll investigate Tom Joiner’s work at Florida State University (Myths of Suicide and the Interpersonal Theory of Suicide) and do another take on this issue.

This is so true though. People will do anything to be famous now.
Me and my friends are having a heated debate over this comic. My stance is that the brown cat is female – and thus gets lots of views just for being a girl – while the grey cat is obviously a male. And the only way a man can get attention is by getting hurt.
So… am I right or wrong? Am I reading too much into it, should the cats just be concidered “cats”? If so, by what logic does the grey cat’s paw licking video fail to get hits?
this comic is officially gender-neutral and is just about a tubby little cat, hope that settles your argument!
Also there is no subtext about “belongingness” and self-destructive behaviour it’s just a cat comic!

Many comments suggest that in the storyline the suicide attempt is attention seeking. I interpreted it as a reaction to rejection and the survival and resulting publicity was accidental. Not so?? I think it’s extremely deep and well thought out, saying a lot in a few simple images. Thank you.
