Sorry Bosi, you spelled ‘death’ wrong as ‘bread’ so now it says ‘what brings the doctor to his bread’. but maybe that is the correct saying, as in how does the doc make his living.
@Keith (und Bosi): the verb is “umbringen,” i.e., “to kill.” Thus, the first sentence of the saying (Sprichwort) translates as: “What kills off the doctor’s bread?” (i.e., what removes the doctor’s income?).
Trogdor, that’s wrong. In that context, the verb you’re referring to isn’t meant to be “umbringen”, but “rob”. “Was bringt den Doktor um sein Brot” would mean “What robs the Doctor of his Income”.

This comic has come a long way from the bitmap-looking ones. Lovin’ it, lovin’ it!
……you’d think a guy with a weapons shop would be a little more creative with his suicide? He could literally punch a wall and have instant death raining down on him. Though… this is Hyrule, so maybe he could wait for the next full-holy-fuck-its-coming-right-at-us moon.
I did it, I finally did it. My StubleUpon brought me to one of these comics, and I thoroughly enjoyed it. So I decided to start at the beginning and just read ‘em all. And I did, in one sitting. While taking a crap, but that’s beside the point. I rode this roller coaster of wtf from the ones in the beginning that are just the worst things ever drawn to the ones that actually make you laugh out loud. And at the end of my journey, all I can say is: Seriously dude, just….just what the fuck?

In the german phrase, I’m no expert but, it is saying “what brings the doctor his bread?”, old timey sayings like that correlate bread with making enough money to put food on the table. Example, again not an expert but, I think their is a passage in the bible saying something along the lines of “earning your daily bread”
Despite the layered German subtext, this comic has not been as big a smash hit as Instasham, judging by a comparison of the ‘trackbacks’. For this reason, I think the catless comic experiment has proven fruitless and we must see much more cattage in the next one, hurrah! Then again, life isn’t all about trackbacks, so fuck it.
It’s clear the weapons seller simply suffered from a failure of imagination. He should have told the king about all the terrorists that had taken over the woods now that the monsters were all gone!

I think people would still fight each other with weapons, even if there weren’t any monsters around.

I’m disappointed that amidst all this arguing about German, no one mentioned that the falling moon actually happened in Termina, not Hyrule.
